The Telangana government has initiated steps to implement the Indiramma Housing Scheme, with officials being deployed to villages to oversee the groundwork. As part of the process, beneficiaries will receive detailed guidance on the scheme’s requirements and construction guidelines.
In the initial phase, one village per mandal has been selected, and officials have compiled a list of eligible beneficiaries. Pre-grounding meetings will be conducted in these designated villages, where officials will explain construction regulations, material supply, and answer queries from beneficiaries.
Steps for Beneficiaries
Eligible beneficiaries must adhere to specific procedural guidelines:
Land allocation must align with the survey records. Any deviation may result in cancellation of benefits.
After ground preparation, beneficiaries must inform the village secretary or ward officer, who will inspect, document the progress with photographs, and register the site online.
Geo-tagging of the construction site will be mandatory.
Houses must be constructed with a minimum area of 400 square feet.
No financial assistance will be disbursed until the foundation is completed.
Upon completing the foundation, the first installment of Rs 1 lakh will be transferred to the beneficiary’s account.
The government will provide construction materials at subsidized rates. Each household will receive eight tractor-loads of sand, with coupons issued by Tehsildars and Revenue Divisional Officers (RDOs). The Housing Corporation will facilitate the supply of steel, cement, and other materials at reduced prices.
Field-level inspections will be conducted by Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs) and Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs). They will assess construction progress and recommend financial disbursements at various stages.
